Britain's competition watchdog, Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), outlined a new regime for regulating tech giants such as Facebook and Google, saying it needed new powers to harness the full potential of digital markets and drive competition and innovation.

Facebook has highlighted its 2020 in review across six themes — Icons, Social Awakening, COVID-19, Global Politics, Environmental Causes, and Faith and Community. Facebook also curated its top 10 Pop Culture Moments for the first time this year. The data reflects activities between January 1 and October 31, 2020.

Christopher Nolan has called HBO Max the “worst streaming service” and labelled the Warner Bros. deal as “very messy” and a “real bait and switch”. Nolan isn’t pleased that the filmmakers involved weren’t consulted on the move. He added the “decision makes no economic sense” and that Warner Bros. doesn’t “understand what they’re losing”.
