Today Dell Technologies announced several security advancements across several areas including supply chain, services, devices, and infrastructure. Aside from the supply chain (which is in and of itself a big deal), the company is offering protection through the boot process and dynamic system lockdown. Today Nutanix announced new hybrid cloud capabilities for its unstructured data storage offerings, Nutanix Objects and Files. These storage-focused enhancements are said to enable customers to deploy an easy-to-use, scale out storage fabric across their different cloud environments to simplify data management and effectively manage costs. IBM said in a blog post on Thursday that hackers are targeting companies critical to the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines. The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency reposted the report, warning members of Operation Warp Speed — the US government's national vaccine mission — to be on the lookout.
