Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Kun-hee, who transformed the South Korean firm into a global tech titan, died at the age of 78 on Sunday, the company said. Under Lee's leadership, Samsung rose to become the world's largest producer of smartphones and memory chips, and the firm's overall turnover today is equivalent to a fifth of South Korea's GDP.

This week, GIGABYTE Technology announced two new rack serer that come with expanded DIMM slots as well as a new internal storage/expansion slot. The two new servers are the R162-ZA0 and R262-ZA0, designed for data centers and virtualization, and do so with cost savings, generational improvements, and server space maximization. Representatives of Amazon.com in India have refused to appear before a parliamentary panel reviewing the country's privacy bill, an Indian lawmaker said on Friday, an allegation the US commerce giant said was a result of a misunderstanding.

This solution is currently VMware's on-demand disaster recovery (DR) offering, intended to be delivered as a simple and easy-to-use SaaS solution, leveraging cloud economics benefits. VMware Cloud Disaster Recovery will enable IT and business continuity teams to easily and cost-effectively resume critical business operations into the cloud (VMware Cloud on AWS) after a disaster event in their on-premises environment. Google Play Music has shut down for several users. The site, and in some cases Android app too, says that Google Play Music is no longer available, and suggests users to transfer to YouTube Music.
