Supermicro Expands A100 GPU Capacity

Today after NVIDIA made several GPU-related announcements at its annual GTC event, Supermicro did what it does bests and announces hardware support for the latest innovation to hit the market. In this case, Supermicro is announced that it has expanded its new 4U server to support up to eight NVIDIA HGX A100 GPUs. The company also has a 2U server and supports up to four A100 GPUs. (more…)

NVIDIA Omniverse Open Beta Announced

Today at their GTC 2020 Event, NVIDIA announced a new real-time collaborative platform with the NVIDIA Omniverse. The platform hit open beta today with a download expected to be available later in the fall. NVIDIA RTX A6000 & A40 Announced

Today, NVIDIA announced two new Workstation GPUs as part of the new Ampere architecture, the same architecture as the highly revered RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. The new NVIDIA RTX A6000 and A40 feature new RT Cores, Tensor Cores, and CUDA cores that accelerate graphics, rendering, compute, and AI significantly faster than previous generations. Despite what the name might suggest, the RTX A6000 seems to actually be the successor the Quadro RTX 8000, sharing its same 48GB of GDDR6, expandable to 96GB when using two cards over an NVLink. NVIDIA CloudXR To Stream AR/VR With AWS

Today at the GTC 2020 show, NVIDIA announced a new platform to be available on Amazon EC2 P3 and G4 instances (that which support NVIDIA V100 and T4 GPUs), the NVIDIA CloudXR. This platform will enable users to stream high-quality immersive experiences to remote VR and AR devices. Three out of the docu-series' four total episodes are now streaming: Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, and Subrata Roy.
