Back at the beginning of the year, Seagate unveiled its Lyve Drive Mobile system, of modular storage for enterprise, cloud, and edge. Today at their Datasphere Virtual Conference the company announced an open, flexible converged infrastructure, Seagate Lyve Drive Rack. Seagate also announced CORTX, a hardware-agnostic open-source object storage software, as well as a corresponding developer community. (more…)

KIOXIA America, Inc. announced new direct-attached, network-attached devices with the KIOXIA Ethernet SSD Storage. This didn’t solely come from KIOXIA, they have been working with several players in the industry including Marvell, Foxconn-Ingrasys and Accton. These companies are working together to bring Ethernet Bunch of Flash (EBOF) technology solutions to market, this announcement being the first of many steps. (more…)
