Today Western Digital announced a new storage platform, the Western Digital OpenFlex Data24. Along with the new platform, they also announced new NVMe Data Center SSDs in the Western Digital Ultrastar DC SN840. Today, OpenDrives released three new data storage hardware solutions, the OpenDrives Ultra Hardware Platform. The three solutions map well with their existing lineup, and while the company hasn't explicitly said so, it appears to be a complete refresh of their entire product line. StorONE has announced the All-Flash Array.next (AFAn), which uses Intel Optane SSD as a storage tier, delivering solutions for enterprise storage. The SSD technology, which is used as a storage tier, not as a cache, integrates Intel QLC 3D NAND SSDs for cost-effective, high capacity, moving data between the two storage tiers as it ages.
