Today Synology Inc. announced that it was adding new capacity points on its SNV3400 M.2 2280 and SNV3500 M.2 22110 NVMe SSD lines. The new versions both come with 800GB of storage. Apple today updated its Platform Security Guide to highlight the key security changes it has implemented on the iPhone, iPad, and the Mac. One of the major changes is the inclusion of the security efforts coming from Apple silicon (M1) that was introduced last year.

Today Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation announced new 18TB HDDs in its Toshiba MG09 Series. According to the company, the MG09 Series features Toshiba’s third-generation, 9-disk Helium-sealed design, and Toshiba’s innovative Flux Control – Microwave Assisted Magnetic Recording (FC-MAMR) technology, to advance Conventional Magnetic Recording (CMR) density to 2TB per disk, achieving a total capacity of 18TB. StorCentric announced the latest in the Violin QV-Series, the Violin QV1020. The QV1020 is an all NVMe storage array that is said to be simple, cost-effective, and provide high performance. The QV1020 adds to the Violin QV-Series that already had the QV2020 and now they can reach more businesses of various sizes. Indian PC market in Q4 2020 grew 27 percent year-on-year (YoY) according to data by International Data Corporation (IDC). Between October and December, 2.9 million PCs were shipped, marking a decline when compared to Q3 2020.
