Synology SSD Line & All-Flash NAS Released

In a somewhat unusual move, Synology Inc. launched its own series of SSDs. These new Synology SSD line comes in 2.5” SATA, M.2 2280, and M.2 221100 form factors and are said to provide high performance with low latency. The SSDs are geared toward virtualization workloads, high traffic volume database storage, and AI and HPC projects and most likely the company’s own NAS line. Seagate FireCuda Gaming SSD Review

At CES this year, Seagate released a handful of gaming drives to go along with their FireCuda Gaming Dock. Of the other drives announced was the Seagate FireCuda Gaming SSD. This is a portable drive that leverages flash NAND as well as the NVMe interface. Scality Zenko Updated

Today, Scality extended their Zenko multi-cloud data controller’s integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).  Long time readers may remember when we covered the initial release of Scality Zenko two years ago, in 2018.  Scality was founded in 2009.
