Synology launched a family of SATA and NVMe SSDs in June of this year. This is viewed by most as a very bold move, considering storage stalwarts like WD and Seagate make dedicated NAS SSDs already. Undeterred, Synology carried on and as seen in our reviews, the SATA SAT5200 did extremely well. It takes over the top spot, in terms of performance, in the SATA NAS SSD category.
